July 30, 2010 -- Web hosting provider BurstNET announced this week that it had made Internet Protocol Version 6 available end-to-end across its entire product line.
In simple terms Web Page Hosting is the space that is set up in an Internet server, 24 hours a day connected to the Internet, where you can put pages, images and other files that are then accessed by anyone, anywhere in the world by typing in your domain name.
Each computer connected to the Internet needs an address to be located by the language of the network called the Internet Protocol or IP. IP addresses are composed of a sequence of numbers, such as 64.182.91.91. In order to display a website your browser needs the IP address where the site is hosted. As IP addresses are not easy to memorize, the action is the assignment of names to facilitate memorization and location not only of sites, but anything that one wishes to find the network. These names are usually called "domains" (e.g. google.com, yahoo.com). A domain is composed of two parts: the name and top level domain (TLD). For example in google.com, google is the name and .com is the TLD.
In the case of an international field, like .com, .net, .biz, .org, etc., registration is done in minutes, if the domain is available, without bureaucracy, and after confirmation of payment. In the case of a some country domains (like .fr, .it, etc...), take a little more, maybe 3 or 4 days due to bureaucracy.
It is possible to transfer an already registered domain to any server. The process of transfer will depend on the company where your domain is registered. Usually it is only necessary to change the DNS servers registered with your domain to the DNS servers of your hosting company. Most domain registrars (companies where a domain is registered) provide an administration page where you can, with a login and password, to make this change directly.
